o kafés! (pronounced "oh kah-FESS") coffee roasters. We are a company dedicated to offering premium Fair Trade coffee from around the globe. We pride ourselves in selling only freshly roasted, carefully crafted coffee to our discerning customers. In fact, the Birmingham News (“City Scene,” April 2007) named our coffee “one of the 12 things-to-do in Birmingham.” We first gained notoriety as a fixture at the Pepper Place Market in Birmingham and soon spread to other fine locations around central Alabama. Beginning in mid-May, the o kafés! roasterie is expanding by opening o kafés! coffeehouse in the Martin Biscuit building within the Pepper Place complex.

The coffeehouse will concentrate primarily on coffee, but will also offer a variety of locally-produced bakery and light lunch items, including some unique Greek fare. It will open at 6am Monday through Saturday in order to be accessible to the morning commuters, professionals in the area, and Pepper Place market visitors.
